German term or phrase: Gurt
This the second question regarding this diagram. For the first part see the term "Profil". The term "Gurt" comes from a diagram in a text concerning lightweight engineering of tubular structures. The main text isn't much help. The diagram is illustrating a Vollwand-system (Schubfeld) - Complete wall system (shear field) (my translation) that strengthens the sheet metal tube with a longitudinally stiffening rod along the interior of the tube. Another supporting structure in the illustration is a ring = "Profil" / several rings = "Profile" in the interior of the tube.
