c) - Errore di collimazione
E’ l’errore angolare che deriva dalla imperfetta ortogonalita’ fra l’asse di collimazione del cannocchiale e l’asse secondario, cioè di rotazione del cannocchiale stesso.
La verifica dell’errore di collimazione viene eseguita con la regola delle letture coniugate al cerchio orizzontale.
La differenza sul cerchio aziendale tra la lettura “diritto” e “rovescio” dovrebbe essere esattamente 180° e il procedimento per la rettifica di tale errore e il seguente:
- Scegliere un punto ben distinto ad una distanza orizzontale di metri 10 dallo strumento (Fig.
8).
- Leggere l’angolo azimutale con lo strumento in posizione cerchio verticale a sinistra (esempio 5.138 g).
- Ruotare lo strumento e il cannocchiale, collimare lo stesso punto ed eseguire la seconda lettura al cerchio azimutale (esempio 205,142 g) (Fig.
9).
- La differenza tra la posizione “diritto e rovescio” è percio’ 200,004 g.
Gli 0,004 g in eccesso rispetto alla differenza richiesta dovranno essere eliminati.
- Mediante la formula b + a - b + 200 g

si ottiene la lettura col cerchio a destra, riducendo della meta’ l’errore.
Sostituendo i valori alle lettere si ottiene:
205,142 g + 5,138 g - 205,142 g + 200 g = 206,140 g

- Ruotare il bottone del nonio fino a leggere nella finestrella relativa 0,140 g.
La lettura 205 g nella finestrella degli angoli orizzontali sara’ ora lievemente fuori dalle due linee di bisezione.
- Ruotare la vite dei piccoli spostamenti in modo da ricentrare la lettura 205 g. Guardando attraverso il cannocchiale, il punto precedente collimato sarà leggermente fuori dal centro del reticolo.
- Per eliminare l’errore residuo di 0,002 g rimuovere il coperchio di protezione delle viti di rettifica del reticolo, e mediante l’apposita @@@spinetta@@@, agire sulle viti stesse fino a centrare il punto collimato esattamente in mezzo al reticolo (Fig.
