Thanks for the points... but I would very strongly suggest you use "superficie" since "medida cuadrada" just does not work in Spanish. In addition, the term "square footage" as used here would merely refer to "area", regardless of the unit of measure used ("metros cuadrados" in the Spanish speaking world). The actual units may be clarified elsewhere as appropriate.
