I guess this refers to a sort of digital catalogue, but cannot think of any other way to translate "feuilletoire" - a word that does not seem to appear (yet) in any French dictionary...

Internet Archive calls it a "BookReader"; Mac version is a "BookViewer" and so on.
Gallica.bnf.fr (Bibliotheque Nationale de France) has its own version, entitled "Leaf through", so presumably a "leaf through terminal"?
As mentioned, British Library version of the software (but not the terminal) is called "Turning the Pages"

| Thank you - I was aware of that, although it is slightly more tricky because this system has been set up in a French museum for the public to use during the course of their visit. Actually from "feuille" initially - a sheet of paper, a "feuilleton" is most often a serial or a "soap". |

Here's how it works:
You leaf through a book or a series of artworks on a touchscreen in the museum, and the relevant pages or works are projected onto a big screen on the wall. There's probably an English name for it.

| Thank you, colleague... another of our colleagues has suggested "digital page-flipper", which I thought was a good idea. Am in touch with the head of IT at the British Library who set up the "Turning of Pages" on their website and inside the Library. Will keep you posted... |
