deep-drawn denture tray
The moulding process (tiefziehen) is called deep drawing.

A quick-curing thermoplastic in an impression tray is used to prepare a negative impression of the patient’s gums/teeth. The resulting "mould" is then used for making the denture tray/dentures by pressing (deep-drawing) plastic into the mould.
The resulting tray precisely matches the shape of the gums and teeth to provide an ideal fit for dentures.
