Slovak term

konvalidácia

Slovak to English Law/Patents Law (general)
In context: "konvalidácia nedostatku vydaného súdneho poverenia nie je možná". Sorry, I'm not lazy just one of those need it in a hurry things and this is not making sense to me. Thanks!

remediation

In this case I think’s something like this.

“V prípade absolútnej neplatnosti a porušenia napríklad základných práv obvinených konvalidácia nie je možná a prípad je vrátený prokuratúre na opätovné vyšetrenie.”
“In the case of absolute nullity and infringement of e.g. basic rights of the defendant repair is not possible and the case is sent back to the prosecution to redo the investigation.”

According to the context provided, we're talking about the deficiency (shortcoming/irregularity, possible even defect/error), not the authorization. A deficiency cannot be "rendered legal" or have its "legal validity reinstated", but it can be remedied (although, in this case, apparently not).

I think that the EU translation given above is, in my view, so poor (repair???) that it does indeed leave space for correction

Chromá has "render legal, put in the legal effect" the reason why I put reinstate is it had been in existence before, except a condition making it impracticable, which has now been removed
Peer comment(s):

neutral Stuart Hoskins : surely, theoretically, "instatement"? There is no legal validity in the first place that can be "reinstated" - nothing has been rendered invalid (it was invalid from inception); rather, something is being rendered valid.

I can see that something that was rendered invalid is now reinstated as valid, there is no remediation going on, IMO; I do not see reinstated ;connected to instated in any way whatsoever. The law was not valid due to obstacles, now it is rendered valid

Note from asker:
I'm pretty sure this is not correct, I did find this info regarding the church but this is not church-related at all and I hate to use something inappropriate. Thanks, though:)
