French term

parcours

French to English Tech/Engineering Computers: Software calculateur de contrôle
Hi,

I have used "path" for "parcours" in my doc, however in the same sentence there is "chemin"..help :)

Have checked this link for parcours:
http://www.proz.com/kudoz/french_to_english/it_information_t...

but it's not the right term.

Thank you

traversal

I think usually, "parcours" refers to "traversal", i.e. systematically going through the nodes in a graph in some way in order to build up a list of possible individual paths, update information represented by nodes in the graph etc.

Hmmm ...

"Graph theory is a growing area in mathematical research, and has a large specialized vocabulary. Some authors use the same word with different meanings. Some authors use different words to mean the same thing."
