Estoy traduciendo un folleto sobre recalces de fundaciones. En una sección describe los pasos a seguir durante la ejecución del recalce:
"Se realizan las excavaciones del primer tramo del muro viga en forma alternada."
Por lo que entiendo de la frase se excavará una sección para construir el muro viga, se dejará otra sección sin excavar, y así sucesivamente. Supongo que es por medida de seguridad esto de realizarlo en forma "alternada".... Lo otro ya lo traduje pero no logro terminar la frase....

Major foundation underpinning is typically done in the A-B slot method. For example every other 5' section of the foundation is underpinned (A), and subsequently the other 5' sections (B) are underpinned. This method is used to eliminate or minimize the need for shoring.

Location, me da una idea de ubicación, o de una situación diferente o alejada y aquí se trata de excavar bajo el 1er. tramo de una misma viga muro.
