"belies" used not in the original meaning/sense The 1:1 translation would start with a rephrasing it with "delivers a lie" or "lies" but that is not what the text really is about. I think the best way for a translation would be: "Der Sitz des Unternehmens weist in Bezug auf das Risiko in die falsche Richtung".
Background: This company earns revenue in many countries with the main sources of income (and profit and loss - I guess) is not located within the country of residence/jurisdiction. Therefore a qualified exposure/risk assessment shouldn´t be based on the domicile only.

Hope I was able to convey my idea concerning the term searched. Comments, damning reviews welcome. I am not 100 % sure at the moment.
