Polish term or phrase: rozszacowanie [danych]
Mowa o analizie danych statystycznych na poziomie krajowym / regionalnym w ujęciu dynamicznym. Z kontekstu (mętnie) wynika mi, że chodzi o transkrypcję danych krajowych na poziom regionalny.
Nie mam pojęcia o metodach rozszacowywania, więc brak pewności, czy disaggregation będzie tu właściwe?

disaggregate
Explanation:
As you say, this seems to refer to disaggragation of data. In any of the links I've checked it seems to fit OK.

What's the etymology of the word "rozszacowanie "?

szacowanie = estimation of course; but the ro- prefix?

Thanks. Then "estimated breakdown" might be an alternative? But "disaggregation" doesn't seem wrong!

Thanks. :) Even if Mateusz may be 100% right about the disaggregation being a weighted one, neither the text nor the author herself (even when asked) said anything about it so I don't feel authorised to add "weighted".

weighted disaggregation

Explanation:

"The classic areal weighting method may be used to distribute the data from statistical
zones to land use parcels, without considering land use type. For each statistical zone, datafor each land use parcel is estimated by..."

Wydaje mi się, że nie jest to prosta dezagreagacja, tylko jakiś rozdzaj przekształcenia tych danych w oparciu o współczynnik (wagę). Nie jestem pewien tej odpowiedzi, ale z lektury cytowanego dokumentu wynika, że takie operacje się przeprowadza w przypadku danych socjo-ekonomicznych.

Notes to answerer
Asker: Szacunek, szacunkowy... As Mateusz points out in the discussion above, they have no variable to identify smaller units while disaggregating (?) the national-level data, so there's no "hard" disaggregation possible, I presume. Hence the more ambiguous term...

Asker: Not ro- but roz-, like in rozprostować, for instance.
