French term

ACCP

French to English Tech/Engineering
I am working on a test translation for an emergency shut-down system for a gas turbine. One of the terms is CCP (Chute de Charge de Protection), which is a Decrease in Protection Load. In the same sentence, they also refer to the ACCP, but all I have is the acronym, does anyone out there have any clue as to what this may be????

Primary Trip System, Secondary Trip System (PTS, STS)

It could also be "First Trip System" and "Second Trip System" (FTS and STS). I have privately written to you more extensively about this. Hope it helps.

Association canadienne des chefs de pompiers?

I know this is far-fetched, but it's all I could find that might fit even remotely.
(as well as Association canadienne du ciment Portland: ACCP, porte-parole de l’industrie canadienne du ciment, représente l’ensemble des producteurs de ciment du Canada. Elle a pour mandat de favoriser l’utilisation de béton fabriqué de manière efficace sur le plan énergétique par le biais de partenariats en matière de promotion, de soutien technique et d’affaires publiques).
I hope this helps,

IT COULD WELL BE " ARRET"

I AM AN ELECTRICAL ENGINEER. IF THERE IS A FALL IN THE PROTECTIVE LOAD, THEN PROBABLY THEY COULD ALSO REFR TO ARRET = STOPPAGE OF THE FALL OF ------.
PROPABLY THIS COULD HELP YOU IN THE CONTEXT. GOOD LICK

The acronym should be spelled out by the author

"Chute de charge de protection" makes little sense in French and "Decrease in protection load" even less in English. Are you sure the protection system is clearly described ? Sorry I can't be more helpful, but this sounds like in-house jargon.

commande ACC

Ok... all I have in my technical dictionary is ACC (adaptive control constraint) which is translated into "commande ACC (contrainte de commande adaptive)" and that's under Control Technology. I have no idea if this is what you need, but it could help. I hope it does.

?

Could you please give the complete sentence, so we have a better idea of what ACCP might mean?
Also, I think that "Chute de Charge de Protection" should not be translated by "Decrease in Protection Load" but by "Protective Load Drop". In order to be a protection, the load has to be decreased very fast, so it is really a drop. Moreover, it is not the protection load that is thus dropped, but the load that is dropped as a protection. Maybe this will also help you in finding out what ACCP means...
