Explanation:
I have put this as medium confidence because obviosly it is just a direct translation. It sounds nice to me though and gets across the meaning quite well. The only other saying I can think of at the moment which is common in UK is 'envy is the green eyed monster'

neutral  Nesrin: I'm sorry - "envious" is an adjective and can't be used as a noun. You either have to say "The envious" (but that would be plural) or "An envious person".
