Italian term or phrase: estromissione dal giudizio
Hi, I think this means extricating Banca XXX from the court proceedings but it then goes on to say that Banca YYY will help choose lawyers, etc. so I am not quite sure. Can anyone suggest a succinct translation for this phrase? Many thanks.

"Banca YYY s’impegna sin da ora ad intervenire nel procedimento in garanzia di Banca XXX, ad acconsentire alla sua ***estromissione dal giudizio***, a concordare con la stessa la scelta dei difensori e la gestione del procedimento in ogni sua fase e sede ed a tenerla indenne da ogni e qualsiasi costo e spesa giudiziaria o comunque connessa con il procedimento in ogni sua fase e sede."

removal from the proceedings
Explanation:
You are right. Banca X wants Banca Y to stand in trial, and not to risk anything itself; yet it wants to have a say on the strategy, it seems. That might well be.
The word I'd use is "removal".
