English term or phrase: N-retinoyl-cysteic acid methyl esters
Hi Everyone,

I am having problems with the above, I can't find any reference on the net (it's been a long day so it's likely to be down to my poor research skills). I am not sure that the way I am translating it:

'esteri di metile di acido cisteico con N-retinolo'
is correct. Can anyone help? TIA

Italian translation:esteri metilici dell'acido N-retinol-cisteico
Explanation:
I think that "retinoyl" is a typo for "retinol", I've never seen it in any of my assignments so far. Hope it helps!

thanks for this, I have given 3 points and not eneterd it into the glossary simply because retinoyl was not a typo but indeed a different substance from retinol. Thanks

Reference information:
at the end of the first reference, in the keywords, we see that retinoic acid (or retinol), retinoyl glucuronide, and retinoid are distinct.
In the second reference, in Italian, you can see that there is no translation for retinoyl, and that is "a metabolite of retinoic acid".
I don't think that retinoyl is a typo.

agree  Mirra_: io direi che questa era una risposta bella e buona perché metterla come ref? :)) Rbe' ho provato a chiarire in discussione :))(ma io, perdonami, ma la 'y' la trasformerei in 'i' in italiano)

-> grazie, ma forse non mi sono riuscita a spiegare...dalle mie conoscenze retinoic acid = retinol, mentre in questo caso non trovo un traducente per questo metabolita quindi lascerei retinoyl...ma non ho conferme
