more context is needed, but...
the colloquial meaning of "etwas am Band machen" refers to doing something continuously. Could it mean they produce "Stanzteile" [stamped metal parts] as standard parts as well as special order???? Where does the text originate from? Germany, Austria or Switzerland? It doesn't sound like "German-German"
