Spanish term or phrase: Para que un clavo saque otro clavo con este lo clavo
This is a one-line clue in a game which involves identifying and finding people/objects:

"Para que un clavo saque otro clavo con este lo clavo"

I know the expression "Un clavo Saca Otro Clavo" means something like "something (or someone) new can help take your mind of an old problem/worry, etc.", but I'm not sure about the last part.

Presumably "este" could refer to an object (e.g hammer) which the person who is speaking (Clavo = I hit) is using to hit the nail (I'm guessing this clue refers to a person as I don't have any further context to help me and the client can't help either)....but why use "este" and not "esto/a" to refer to the object...and how on earth can I translate the last part into English given that the equivalent English saying doesn't even use the nails analogy?

Thanks for your kind help here!
