Spanish term

gradiente de carga de subida

Spanish to English Tech/Engineering Energy / Power Generation Electricity market
The context is the Spanish electricity market operating rules: "El Operador del Mercado conservará.. el valor de la potencia .. de cada unidad de venta .. para utilizar dicho valor para la comprobación de los gradientes de carga de subida de los períodos de programación posteriores y de los gradientes de carga de bajada.." "Gradiente de carga" is "load up rate" and "gradientes de subida/bajada" is "ramp-up/ramp-down rates" but I'm stumped about the meaning of "gradiente de carga de subida" and "gradiente de carga de bajada". "Load-up ramp-up rate" does not sound right!

upload gradient

I am guessing really, but maybe it refers to uploading/downloading info. Maybe instead of "gradient", "rate" could be used.
By the way, what type of Spanish is it? (Mexico, Argentina...)
Hope it helps.
Note from asker:
Thanks but no, it refers to energy, not to information.
