We would like to congratulate you on reaching the grand final
OR on being one of the grand finalists. I don't think there's any difference between a finalist and a grand finalist but you can use the word in English just as you can in French. I suppose it gives added glamour or emphasis. A grand finalist is definitely not yet the winner - just one of the last two in the competition.
