English term

topped

English to Spanish Tech/Engineering Ships, Sailing, Maritime
Hello again,

I have the sentence: "The derrick should never be topped or lowered under load", on board a ship.

Any paraphrase of the sentence would be appreciated.

Thank you.

Best,

Mar

Thank you. Hello again,

It is on a ship, I think it means the moving of the boom up and down with the topping lift, etc., but I want to be sure...
Thank you.

Best,

Mar
