Swedish term

betyg

Swedish to English Social Sciences Education / Pedagogy
I am searching for a UK equivalent of what in the US might be called GPA, though this doesn’t directly correspond to ‘betyg’ in the Swedish sense of the point level to gain admission to university.

A levels I don’t think would work here.

weighted average grade

From google - this seems in fairly common usage in UK English. Maybe "weighted average grade" from high school/further education... or something similar - I've even seen 'upper secondary school' used as an English translation of the Swedish "gymnasie" stage. But it's never easy translating across different education systems....

My suggestion.

GPA means grading points average and a measure of a student's academic achievement at a college or university; calculated by dividing the total number of grade points received by the total number attempted.
I cannot really see what that has to do with this term #betyg"

Jag skulle nog använda GPA med påföljande förklaring.

läste frågan litet snabbt. VArför inte använda GPA med förklaring på engelska samt referens till amerikanska systemet.
