Kontext: ein Mitarbeiter wird gelobt, da er super flexibel auf die verschiedenen Kunden eingehen kann - mit dem einen Kunden muss man erst einmal über's Wetter/Golfen o.ä. plaudern, ehe man zum geschäftlichen Teil übergehen kann, andere Kunden gehen sofort ran ans Business usw. Dieser Mitarbeiter hat also die Gabe, die Kunden sehr schnell zu durchschauen. Und dann kommt der Satz: He has, as it were, to be all things to all people.
