this would be the proverbial, 'innocent', translation...even though I think that the underlying context here perhaps does not reach out. Perhaps one could write...'goda ting kommer i tre' (i.e. good things come in three)or 'goda ting kommer när man är tre' (i.e. good things come when one is three).

för stt få med originalets dubbeltydighet; men ändå behålla associationen till det ursprungliga talessättet. Angående ursprunget: Det är inget direkt bibelcitat, men talet tre är ju heligt, jmf treenigheten och de tre vise männen.
