The evaluation of the principles of accounting used and the significant estimations made by the Administration, as well as the presentation of the financial statements as a whole are also examined. I studied Economics at the top-ranking Private University of Bolivia and English at the prestigious Centro Boliviano Americano. I was married to a US citizen with a BA in English Literature who introduced me to the translation and interpretation business in 2006. We had a translation company based in Cochabamba, Bolivia, translating a wide range of documents both for abroad and domestic affairs. Then we move it to the USA. Currently we have separated and I am back in Bolivia and now I work full-time as a translator and IT support for businesses in the USA.
I have translated documents for clients located in Bolivia, USA, Spain, including manuals, legal documents, certificates, books, I have worked for NGOs and the government in Bolivia and USA, etc. The biggest projects outside Bolivia were translating a gaming software and localizing, general software translation, USAID and Deloitte translations, telecommunications systems with TELECOM, offshore oil drilling platforms for PEMEX, wind turbine manuals for GAMESA and related documents, ship engineering manuals for York, promotional materials for MONOGRAM foods, and international court cases from several Norwegian clients, among others. I have also worked locally as an interpreter at international trials and meetings of large international organizations.
I work with all Microsoft Office suite, All adobe suite (Indesign, photoshop, flash, etc), I work with Old versions files and AutoCAD.
I use the following CAT tools: SDL TRADOS, MemoQ and Transit.
I also have worked as a computer programmer developing localized software, games and websites (html, php), which gives me an advantage working with software translations.
I have also worked translating and subtitling videos, interviews, phonecalls, diaries, etc.
I have translated over 1,900,000 words and formatted over 4,300 pages in the last 12 years.
