Swedish term

symbollins

Swedish to English Tech/Engineering Automotive / Cars & Trucks Camera - associated parts
I know there is no such thing as "no context", but the context is unclear here.

The sentence refers to a "camera kit" for a truck. Not sure which camera it is. The sentence runs like this:

"When you order kit, part no. 000000000000000, you also have to order Symbol lens, Switch and Wires."

I suspect the original text was written in Swedish and have managed to find out that the original term was most probably "symbollins". Hence my question to Swedish-speaking colleagues.
Proposed translations (English)
3 indicator light/indicator lamp

Discussion

petrolhead (asker) Jan 4, 2011:
Symbol lens Sorry, my fault. I would appreciate a "proper translation" of the term into English, or at least a clarification. I am afraid "symbol lense" does not mean much. Looks like a straight translation from Swedish.
Michele Fauble Jan 4, 2011:
What exactly is your question? You already have symbol lens in your sentence.
petrolhead (asker) Jan 4, 2011:
Telltale lamp/ warning lamp glass? Is it possible that we are talking about "the glass for the warning lamp"? And "symbol" because a warning/telltale lamp usually has a "symbol" on it to identify its function?

Exactly.
Note from asker:
Many thanks, Michele!! Just to double chceck. You are suggesting "an indicator light" in an instrument panel and not a "turn indicator"?
