Hi Adam,

No - I'm not sure about the English - but I hope you grasp the idea. It's more or less along the lines of Rita's suggestion.

I suspect that this is in a report from Emergency or (maybe?) instensive care, whereby they would decide to manage the patient according to the protocols established for this particular condition.

I'm not sure whether they would actually diagnose the patient or whether that's the cardiologist's job.

I can ask the missus later if you want: she's a cardiologist and probably won't have anything nice to say about the intensivistas, but she'll be able to clarify the issue, I'm sure.
