Spanish term

noria

Spanish to English Tech/Engineering Mechanics / Mech Engineering food industry machinery
"noria de la tolva" (the hopper "noria") or "hornos, norias y transportes" (ovens "norias" and conveyor belts).

I know the standard meaning of noria, which is a wheel, usually for raising water, so in the context of a packaging line ,for example, I am guessing that it must be part of the equipment that rotates with the product on it before it drops into its packaging. Could somebody pleas let me know the correct name for such equipment, please?

@Patinba Do you know the type of food that's being packaged? According to my paper dictionary:

'noria' = 'bucket chain', 'bucket elevator'; 'noria de bateas' = 'tray conveyor'

Hi, Patinba. You're welcome.

Yes, "carrousel" sounds like a good option, the "tolva" would be "the hopper".

Having a picture of the exact context would be reassuring, but lacking that...
Note from asker:
Hi John! Many thanks. Your first ref mentions "carrousel" , which gets my vote for the moment at least.
