Endorsement is OK. In the end, I think it's just the writer avoiding repetition of "signature". I does look as if they just mean the e-signature itself, but it could be a stamp, authorization, certificate of authentication, validation code... etc. Endorsement is fine by me.

Neilmac, after accepting e-signature, I found endorsement and used that instead on my document, so wouldn't that cover all the terms related to above?

Of course there is always the possibility that the writer simply wishes to avoid using "firma" twice in close proximity, but what replaces the manual signature in electronic data interchange (EDI) is the e-signature AKA digital signature. In this case, "visé" may simply be a synonym chosen rather than a separate document per se. In fact the more I look at the text, this seems to be the case.

I hope the asker didn't enter "e-signature" in the glossary willy-nilly for this term. The standard term "firma digital/digital signature" is already covered. I advise another entry for this to avoid confusion. I'm pretty sure that "visé" is a term used (and rarely in Spain) for what is variously termed a certification/validation/proof of the e-signature, which can be used for the same purpose, but it is NOT the e-signature itself. I am open (and looking forward) to correction if I am mistaken on this.

I have found endorsement as a definition of visé in French!! If that is of any help. Then an endorsement could be a signature or a stamp?

e-certificate/e-proof

I think this refers to what my EDI clients refer to as a certificate or proof. It is not the e-signature per se, but a validating certificate or autheticating proof of the same. The exact term can vay between countries and the pertinent issuing authorities.
