Printing & Publishing
Obviously something to do with "register", but I just can't figure out what. TIA for your help.

translated as:
"The... enables reliable, register-accurate printing of temperature-sensitive materials such as foils."

: Langenscheidt Technik has "keeping of register" for passerhaltigkeit - not too good. "The highly automated XL 105 features Autoplate Advance for simple, register-accurate plate changing..." http://www.printondemand.com/MT/archives/003463.html

: "in-register" would also work (e.g. http://www.tso.co.uk/literature/printGlossary/r/). The Polygraph Dictionary gives "register maintenance" for "passerhalten";

Comment: "Thanks, Gudrun. I've used "register-maintaining", as suggested by DC Josephs, even though I haven't found any good support for it -- but as I explained above, I'm not comfortable using the same term as for "passergenau", which appears in the next line. "
