Is an intake session mandatory for all job postings and when should it occur?

The intake session, which can completed by phone, allows the hiring leader and recruiter to discuss the skills needed for the position as well as the sourcing strategy. As such, an intake session must generally occur before a position is posted.

agree  Richard Boulter: For myself, I would much rather that 'sesion de induccion/intake session' mean the orientation & interview with the new employee, but in both the source and Charles's ref it is clear that this is the common usage, at least in some companies. Thanks!

agree  Richard Boulter: I strenuously agree with this wording for the definition/description in the source. Will I have to start my own company/country in which to use it? :-) 'Intake' in the U.S. seems usually to be used in registering clients in a mental health clinic, etc.

Yo también considero que el contexto indica que están en el proceso de reclutamiento previo a la etapa de contratación, por lo tanto me inclino por el término *entrevista de selección*. Luego vendria la sesión de inducción que consiste en la orientación y supervisión a los trabajadores de reciente ingreso. (link) Espero haberte ayudado! Saludos.
