todos (los competidores) me dejaron atrás
Está en relación con las carreras de automóviles, y el sentido es que al quedar detrás de los demás autos se recibe el humo de sus caños de escape.
No es lo mismo en carreras de bicicletas, obviamente, pero el lector comprende fácilmente la alusión.
Tanbién podría ser "quedé último desde la línea de largada", o "fuí el último en salir", etc.

Perdón, lo correcto sería "fui el último en partir"...
No es lo mismo en carreras de bicicletas, obviamente, pero el lector comprende fácilmente la alusión.
Tanbién podría ser "quedé último desde la línea de largada", o "fuí el último en salir", etc.

nic (4yo) was riding 40:16 with 135 cranks, and his buddy rides a felt with 150 cranks. he'd get smoked out of the gate (short legs like me) but he would always catch up and generally win. anyway he's started to grow at last, so time for 140's & the gearing won't change for now....
