Întâmplător am dat peste acest video în care se explică semnificația „set”-ului:
„A quad set is a leg exercise. Quad is short for quadriceps, the four muscles on the front of your thighs, set is short for setting or turning on or contracting the muscles. The quad set is an isometric contraction which means you are turning on your muscles without moving your leg.”

Acum mi-am dat seama că inițial am înțeles greșit, „set” nu înseamnă „set (de exerciții).

Da, set de exerciții poate fi orice. Aici este vorba despre încordarea/contractarea (contracția) mușchilor (de ex. timp de cinci secunde) și după aceea relaxarea lor. Explică aproape identic în ambele filmulețe.
Cred că ar putea fi ceva de genul: „contractarea/încordarea cvadricepsului/mușchilor fesieri” sau „contractări/încordări ale...”
