Screw loosening is a relatively frequent mechanical complication, potentially affecting prognosis of the implant-prosthetic assembly. To suggest a clinical protocol to maximize preload maintenance, and diminishing probability of loosening, this in vitro study aimed to analyze the reverse torque (RevT) of abutment screws after different cleaning treatments. Infact, nowadays no study has investigated if the presence of debris left on the abutment/screw complex after technical procedures could decrease the friction coefficients, affecting the preload.
