Hele zin: 'Use the following procedure to thread-lock threaded retainers'. Een 'retainer' kan van alles zijn, hier in ieder geval iets met schroefdraad. Vervolg van context (in relatie tot bovenstaande vraag) snap ik niet: 'Apply the thread-locking compound (tot zover is duidelijk) to the spanner wrench notches or holes'. Schroefdraadlijm aanbrengen op nokjes of uitsparingen van haaksleutel zodat dat spul de boel vastlijmt? Beats me!

Het gaat om het borgen van schroefdraad met iets van loctite. door op de schroefdraad dat spul te smeren wordt de tussenruimte tussen draad van bijv. boute en moer "op elkaar geplakt". Dit is het "Threaad-lock" -> "schroefdraadslot".
maar een threaded retainer is gewoon een borgmoer.
