Turkish term

embedded or impacted teeth

Turkish to English Medical Medical: Dentistry
"Mandibular gömülü 3.molar dişlerin çekimi oral cerrahi pratiğinde sık yapılan işlemlerdendir."

Embedded teeth are those teeth which are not erupted usually because of the lack of eruptive forces.

Impacted teeth are the ones which are being prevented from erupting due to some physical barriers in the path of eruption.

I've searched google and various online dictionaries and apparently, these two different conditions are both referred to as "gömülü diş" in Turkish. However, a distinction is made between the two in the English language.

Well, I'm translating from Turkish to English and my source word is "gömülü", with no further specifications of the condition at hand.

So, should I go with "embedded" or "impacted"?

I just can't decide which to use.

It's so important for me to remain loyal to the source text and convey the exact intended meaning in my translation.

I'd really appreciate help from those with experience in the field of dentistry and from those who are familiar with the literature.

Thanks in advance.

Impacted wisdom teeth - Wikipedia
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Impacted_wisdom_teeth
Impacted wisdom teeth (or impacted third molars) are wisdom teeth which do not fully erupt into the mouth because of blockage from other teeth (impaction). If the wisdom teeth do not have an open connection to the mouth, pain can develop with the onset of inflammation or infection or damage to the adjacent teeth.
