The Kandinskys reached Berlin in December 1921. After his arrival, he was offered a professorship at the Bauhaus in Weimar. He moved there and began to teach in June. He became master of the wall painting workshop and taught one of the courses on the theory of form. The faculty, which included Lyonel Feininger, Johannes Itten, Paul Klee and Oskar Schlemmer, developed innovative theoretical courses, led practical workshops and instruction in crafts and sought to reunite all artistic disciplines.
