Lauryl sodium sulfide prepared/made according to (or by) Japanese Pharmacopeia Explanation: Or maybe "lauryl sodium sulfide produced by Japanese Pharmacopeia". Or "Japanese Pharmacopeia lauryl sodium sulfide produced", although I am not sure about the second one. If you could provide more context - like the entire sentence or the paragraph, it would really help to understand in what sense that 日局 is used there. Given only the term itself, I can only assume that it's supposed to mean that ラウリル硫化ナトリウム is produced by 日局. Something like this. Is it a label? |

sodium lauryl sulfate (listed in the Japanese Pharmacopoeia) Explanation: 日局 is 日本薬局方 (JP) and the standard term for ラウリル硫化ナトリウム should be sodium lauryl sulfate. See below for the official website and wiki item. -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 24 mins (2011-06-29 04:30:01 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- ラウリル硫酸ナトリウム is the officially adopted name, and the other is just out of date, but they refer to the same substance.
