NPZ

German to English Medical Medical (general) Kidney transplantation
From a medical report on the recipient of a kidney transplant:
"Pathologisch-anatomische Begutachtung...Makroskopie...1 NPZ 10 mm, Formalin-PH 7,0."
The report then goes on to discuss histological findings.

@ uyuni in another situation, it could indeed stand for "Nieren*punktions*zylinder", but Siegried's version and the abbreviation in the medical report both come from the Charité, so I believe 'Nierenparenchymzylinder' is correct in this case.
