quantitative and qualitative differences

Fairly common term; here are some examples:

Webster calculated the following multiples for the selected comparable companies; core deposit premium, equity value-to-tangible book value, equity value-to-revenue and price-to-earnings per share. The selected multiple ranges were based on a range of 90% to 100% of the median multiples, subject to an adjustment factor and a global factor calculated based on the quantitative and qualitative differences between the comparable companies and the reporting units.

It's up to Captain Haddock to suss it out
agree nweatherdon : That's what I was thinking, although this would imply that the French should probably have read "ecarts quantitatives et qualitatives"

quantified and qualified deviations

"Ecarts quantifiés et qualifiés"
=
"quantified and qualified deviations" [from planned values in various costs, sales, revenues....]

This is part of an accounting software. It's about analysing deviations (écarts) from planned costs and revenues, i.e. comparing actual figures to targets.
First step is to quantify the deviations: to establish for example how much are costs lower/higher than planned.
Next step is to qualify the deviations - find out how/why they happened. i.e. what/who is to blame or praise.

Example:
"Trois types écarts sur coût de production sont quantifiés, qualifiés et analysés. 2. Exemple de recherche d'une liste d'opération de production (OP). 2.1."

Similar situation - analysing risks instead of costs:
Risk Assessment:
We assess the project risks relevant to the stage the project is in. In the beginning we conduct a Risk Assessment workshop and analysis to assist the setting of financial contingencies and to develop risk reduction targets. Specific risks are quantified and qualified in terms of probability and cost/time consequences are determined. Strategies are developed to either mitigate or eliminate risks. A Risk Register, which remains a live document throughout the project life-cycle, is developed and kept up to date as the project progresses.
