If we use the translation as in the given links using diameter of the pipe and tube, it would be wrong here, I think, translation should be clear and as short as possible and should describe the main feature of that thing (here pipe and tube). Pipe is used for transporting. Tube is for structural purposes. Чтоб читатель мог различитьь на чего расчитан, назначения, а не диаметр.
