sos tomato
i'm thinking of ketchup as in tomato ketchup. the malay equivalent is sos tomato.
kicap as ponan explains is black soy sauce which comes in two forms, light or dark. The light soy sauce is not really light in colour but texture is lighter than the dark soy sauce (which is thick).
fish sauce is mainly used in thai cooking (i think it's called nam pla). that's "sos ikan" in malay.
