Discussion

Christine Andersen Jun 30, 2005:
It's practically impossible to give a meaningful answer without some context.
How do the two words connect? Is it a slogan?
If so, I wouldn't put it that way, but then I'm British, not American.

skik følge eller land fly

Mon ikke det gamle mundheld/ordsprog dækker meningen.

According to you note on EN>JA, you give the following definition/context:

Terms are related. Rhyming method to convey to employees to follow rules or find work elsewhere.

The very well know and used Danish saying \"Skik følge eller land fly\" (direct translation: follow the customs or leave the country) means when you are out of your milieu, adopt the customs of where you are (a different country, city, subculture, business...)or take your leave!

akklimatisere eller evakuere

this is a direct translation - but indeed I believe it would be better to say something like - "man skal tilpasse sig en situation eller forlade den"
