KvK-nummer

English translation: Company Registration no.

Dutch term or phrase: KvK-nummer
As the "KvK" in the Netherlands has the function of the Commercial Register I'm wondering if "KvK-nummer" should be rather translated with "Commercial Register Number" instead of "CoC number" (CoC = Chamber of Commerce).

If so, what is the abbreviation for "Commercial Register Number"?

As I put my "KvK nummer" on my invoices (like "KvK: 12345....") I need an abbreviation for this term for the English layout of my invoices too. A three letter abbreviation would be ideal because a much longer term wouldn't fit in the layout of my invoicing system. Does such an abbreviation exist? I'm not sure if "CRN" would be a common abbreviation.

Thanks a lot for your help!

Explanation:
I have a LTD in the UK and use the phrase "company registration number" as it is well-known in the UK that Ltds are registered with Companies House. Do you have room for the full sentence instead of an abbreviation?

4 letters, they still might fit your template! ;-)

See the reference below.
Plus you can always place a short explanation somewhere on your invoice: "This company is registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce under xxxxx".

Reference: CRN

Reference information:
If you really want to use an acronym because of layout constraints, I would go for CRN as this will be easily recognised (at least by UK native speakers).

On my own invoices, I use a sentence at the bottom of the page - similar to a footer - which reads: Registered in the Netherlands with no. xxxxxxxx.

Upon incorporation with Companies House, every private limited company in the UK is given a unique Company Registration Number (CRN), also knows as a Companies House Registration Number. It is generated automatically and will take the form of either 8 numbers or 2 alpha characters followed by 6 numbers. Your CRN will be included on your Certificate of Incorporation and any official documentation received from Companies House shortly after company formation. It will also appear on the public register next to your company’s details.
