Danish term

bjælkestrege

Danish to English Art/Literary Photography/Imaging (& Graphic Arts) logo design
Effekter som skygger, bjælkestrege, konturer el. lign. må ikke tilføjes.

The context is a set of rules for what is and what isn't allowed in the use of a company logo.

Can't find it any dictionary.
thanks for any help.

bar (line)

I am just guessing here, as well. I do not think that they are talking about barred text. Instead, I believe they are simply talking about a bar (a contoured line).

a crossed-through bar

seem to remember at least the "strege" from my time in Denmark and, adding two and two together (i.e. bjaelke = Balken in German = beam or bar in English), this might be it. Skygger would, of course go into the area of shadows or shadow effects.
