شكرا أستاذ أحمد، ولكن من المعروف/الشائع أن المحكمة الشرعية تتعامل مع القضايا الإسلامية المرفوعة من قبل أطراف إسلامية فقط، أما لو أخذنا برأيك فيصبح المعنى أنها محكمة دينية تتناول القضايا لكافة الأديان

Family Court
Literally no doubt it means "Shari`ah Court" meaning a court where Islamic Law is applied. But in the context of Surian Legal system it means the family court where the dispute between spouces are decided. This is the only field where Islamic Law is applied that is why it is called "Shari`ah Court".
