I just finished subtitling (English to French) an excellent documentary, Thirst for Power, on how energy and water are closely intertwined and their impact on climate and the ecosystem. Quite informative for anyone interested in the protection of the environment. 1 user1 user
I just finished sub-titling an excellent, award-winning (Sundance) documentary on race car driving, Motor Sports Heroes (released in July 2109.) I have been teaching French to a very advanced class. Some people have no idea how complex French grammar can be! But it's fascinating. I just finished editing a very large study and manual on group therapy, 650 pages! Quite interesting. On whole week, full-time, as an interpreter for the Mayor of Dakar, Senegal, and a delegation of 15 persons, to celebrate the twinning of this African "sister city" with Pasadena, California. Tours of various points of interest, art centers and museums, ceremonies, luncheons and dinners. Exhausting but extremely interesting. These are remarkable people, highly educated, warm and friendly. Truly a great opportunity. 1 user (edited) Sub-titling 100 piano lesson videos. A challenge as the US and French systems are quite different! Translating a history of the Suez Canal 1 user

Subtitling an interesting interview of Kenneth Branagh. Working on the subtitles of an interview and the making of a great feature film that just came out! I can't say what it is, but I can say it's a period piece on the life of the greatest man ever, and it has some of my favorite actors in it. 1 user (edited) I just finished writing an article as a volunteer for ATA's brand new audio visual division's newsletter. In it, I recount my experience with dubbing as it was done in the early 80s, before the digital age! It brought back many fond memories. |
