Bio:My name is Omar Ibrahim Mohamed, i am freelance urban refugees and embassies consultant officer right now, i was born and bred in Somalia; studied up to secondary school. After the bloody civil war erupted in our country which is also war torn country, i escaped to Yeme...n in 1998 and then, i stayed there for seven good years before i finished my three years lab technician high diploma from 2003 to 2006 and then i came in Nairobi Kenya since the war in Somalia was getting worse day after day, whereby i started to work as translation service but before the translation services, i was working with the Universal Peace Federation UPF international organization, i used to organize and mobilize people in particular our main aim was to focus on peace; whereby i became ambassador for peace; and then from there i continued for my translation service work until now which i am going to celebrate the International Translation Day ITD. Bio:Edward Mwangi is an online journo at one of the leading media houses in Kenya. He graduated from the University of Nairobi and was awarded a degree in Journalism and Mass Communication. Besides love for production, Edward has gained interest in translation, transcribing... and literature in general. He translated mission statements, rules and regulations of his drama group at campus. He has translated a couple of professional scripts from English to Swahili and vice versa. Bio:My name is Farhan Mohamed Hanshi former reporter and editor at the Radio Maandeeq in the southwestern Somali region of Gedo, I was born on July 10, 1988. During my involvement in press for more than 10 years, I was the anchor of morning show designated to combat illiter...acy and awareness among young people thus while I was in the media, I also later joined Somalia’s most active youth organization Youth United for Social Mobilization (YUSOM) which represents more than 2000 young people members in Somalia where I hold positions such president and vice president. Now serving my role among Somali editors forum- I am engaged more notably in the field of defending journalists rights in this part of the country - I was outspoken activist and became a voice for the voiceless youths and journalists in my region who are being targeted by terrorism and lack of rights in their field.
