Bio:Dimitra Anastasiou has been working as a freelance translator for English/German and Greek since 2006. After graduating in 2005 from the Department of “Foreign Languages, Translation and Interpreting”, Ionian University, Greece, she completed a PhD in 2009 with the title “Idiom Treatment Experiments in Machine Translation“ at Saarland University, Germany. From January 2009 until October 2010 she worked as a post-doc researcher at the “Localisation Research Centre (LRC)“ at the University of Limerick, Ireland, in the project “Centre for Next Generation Localisation”. From October 2010 to October 2012, she worked as a researcher in the departments of Languages and Literary Studies and Computer Science at the University of Bremen researching on multimodal environments and dialogue systems. Since 2009 she has been working as an external lecturer and tool trainer for the Master of Multilingual Web Design at Strasbourg University, France. In the last years she has been teaching 'Computational Linguistics Methods', 'Translation Technology', 'Machine Translation', and 'Localisation Tools and Technology' and supervising BA, MA, and PhD students
