Konstantin Kisin is a highly successful legal, financial and video games translator. Since joining ProZ.com in 2004, he has made full use of the website to propel his business to new heights and build long-term relationships with clients and colleagues.

A regular contributor to Proz.com on the business side of translation, Konstantin has extensive training in the psychology of communication and human behaviour. Sharing his attitude to doing business with his customary passion and enthusiasm, Konstantin's mission is to assist freelancers the world over in establishing professional relationships with clients, making more money, working less and having more fun.
Adelaide Zappatore
Currently working as a Head of Translation for WorldOne Research, a Market Research company for the Healthcare and pharmaceutical sector. Managing a team of 9 Translation Managers and 7 translators and proof-readers (in-house), setting up procedures and guidelines. Working with the Operations Manager to implement new translation tools and software. Also responsible for recruitment and training. Built up a network of external freelancers, negotiating with vendors.

More than 10 years’ experience as a Production Manager (or Account manager/Team leader) in the Translation industry (Wordbank Ltd., CommuniCare)

Over 5 years’ experience as a freelance Translator/proof-reader. Extensive experience as a teacher of Italian as a second language in colleges (Evening courses in local schools and adult education centres), private schools and in financial institutions (Bankers’ Trust, Bank of America, etc.)

Why do you use some freelance translators, and why not go through an agency to find them? Apr 24, 2012

Would be interested in knowing why Adelaide's company has both in-house and external translators, and why she deals directly with freelancers rather than going through an agency to find them.
