I hold a BS in civil engineering in 1964, a master of sciences in environmental sanitation in 1996, and a doctorate in Public Health in 2003. Also, in 2003 the ABRATES (The Brazilian Association of Translators and Interpreters) granted me his after-exam certification to perform English to Brazilian-Portuguese translations. I have lived, studied and work abroad a number of times. I work with memoQ translator pro 5.0.xxU (compatible with 4.5) and Trados 2007 FL (Trados 8.0), and also have acquired SDL Trados Studio 2009.
Since 2002 I have been working at home as freelancer in technical and commercial translations from English into Brazilian Portuguese, editing/proofreading the target Portuguese text, and in books, both authored and translated.
