I got a degree in translation and interpreting at University of Vigo in 2003. I chose these studies out of my love towards communication with foreigners. My major subjects were economic and legal translation as well as technical-scientific conference interpreting.
I also studied for some time subjects from a masters degree in translation at university Rennes 2 in 2003/2004. My last academic endeavor was a masters degree in linguistics and an attempt to write a thesis on gender-related cohesion devices at University Pompeu Fabra between 2004 and 2007.
I have worked as a research assistant in a linguistics lab at university, as a testing engineer in Lionbridge, as a conference interpreter, as a freelance translator and reviewer, as a terminologist and technical support specialist at STAR Servicios Lingüísticos, and as a volunteer localizer and reviewer.
I have lived in Ireland, UK, Portugal, France, Brasil, the Isle of Man and, obviously, Spain. I enjoy sports, dancing, music and cooking.
